A Fire Safety Checklist
- Install and maintain Smoke Detectors.
- Plan and practice Escape plan.
- Establish a meeting place.
- Keep space heaters at least three feet away from anything that
can burn.
- Smokers need to be watched.
- Careful cooking - Avoid Kitchen dangers.
- Put matches and lighters away and out of reach of children.
- Check and replace any frayed or cracked electrical cords.
- Remember, Stop - Drop - Roll - Cover your face. Do NOT run!
- Crawl low under the smoke.
- Always feel a door before opening it in a fire. If it's hot,
choose an alternate route.
- Sleep with bedroom doors closed, to prevent the spread of the
fire.
